6 Topolino

Als opvolger van de Simca 5 kwam in 1947 de Simca 6 op de markt. In tegenstelling tot zijn voorganger (die eigenlijk een afgeleide was van de Fiat Topolino) is de Simca 6 echt een ontwikkeling van het Franse merk Simca. De auto werd in 1947 op de Autosalon van Parijs geïntroduceerd en had meer overeenkomsten met de net geïntroduceerde Peugeot 203 en Renault 4CV, dan met de Fiat Topolino. De verhoogde motorkap met de bredere grille geven de auto een wat Amerikaanse look aan de voorzijde. Het maakt deze zeer compacte en bijzonder leuke klassieke auto extra aantrekkelijk.

Oorspronkelijk is deze auto geleverd in 1949 in Frankrijk en in 2009 in Nederland gekomen. Na een zeer grondige en uitgebreide body-off restauratie (foto’s aanwezig) is de auto vervolgens in 2014 voorzien van een Nederlandse registratie. Tijdens deze restauratie is de auto voorzien van de prachtige Fiat kleur Grigio Quarzo. Deze carrosseriekleur is niet alleen schitterend om te zien, maar vormt ook een perfecte combinatie met het rood/grijze interieur. Het oprolbare linnen dakje is in perfecte conditie en ook in bijpassende rode kleur. Na de restauratie is de auto met zeer veel liefde en zorg onderhouden en nog steeds in uitmuntende conditie. De carrosseriedelen sluiten goed op elkaar aan en de portieren sluiten degelijk en goed. De chroom- en sierdelen zijn in zeer goede en glanzende staat en ook de rubberdelen en afwerkingen zijn in prima conditie. De witte velgen met verchroomde wieldoppen zijn in zeer goede staat en vormen een schitterende combinatie bij deze auto. Dit geldt ook voor het verchroomde kofferrek met een bijpassende rieten mand.

Het interieur is in perfecte en bijna nieuwe conditie. De rood/grijze bekleding is in uitmuntende conditie en is werkelijk schitterend om te zien. De bekleding is een combinatie van stof (grijs) en skaileder (rood) en dat geeft de auto een stijlvol karakter. De stoelen zijn niet alleen in perfecte conditie, maar zitten verrassend comfortabel. Het dashboard is ook in uitzonderlijk mooie conditie. De diverse chroom- en sierdelen zijn in zeer goede conditie. Via de achterbank is er toegang tot een kleine opbergruimte beschikbaar.

Onder de motorkap zien we een zeer keurige en verzorgde motorruimte. Het is duidelijk te zien dat de auto zeer veel liefde en zorg heeft gehad. Zelden hebben we zo’n nette motorruimte gezien. De 570 cc viercilinder motor loopt bijzonder mooi en soepel. Door het lage gewicht is het vermogen van 16 pk voldoende om soepel en comfortabel te rijden. De remmen voelen goed en stevig aan en het sturen gaat bijzonder soepel. Schakelen gaat ook erg makkelijk en trefzeker. En dat alles maakt deze compacte klassieke Simca tot een heerlijke rijdersauto.

The Simca 6 was launched in 1947 as the successor to the Simca 5. Unlike its predecessor (which was actually a derivative of the Fiat Topolino), the Simca 6 was a true development of the French brand Simca. The car was introduced at the 1947 Paris Motor Show and bore more resemblance to the recently introduced Peugeot 203 and Renault 4CV than to the Fiat Topolino. The raised bonnet and wider grille gave the car a somewhat American look at the front, making this very compact and exceptionally attractive classic car even more appealing.

This car was originally delivered in France in 1949 and arrived in the Netherlands in 2009. After a thorough and extensive body-off restoration (photos available), the car was registered in the Netherlands in 2014. During this restoration, the car was painted in the beautiful Fiat Grigio Quarzo. This body colour is not only stunning to look at but also combines perfectly with the red/grey interior. The retractable canvas roof is in perfect condition and also in a matching red color. After the restoration, the car has been maintained with great love and care and remains in excellent condition. The body panels fit together well, and the doors close securely and well. The chrome and trim are in very good and shiny condition, and the rubber parts and trim are also in excellent condition. The white rims with chrome hubcaps are in excellent condition and make a stunning combination with this car. This also applies to the chrome luggage rack with a matching wicker basket.

The interior is in perfect and almost new condition. The red/gray upholstery is in excellent condition and is truly stunning. The upholstery is a combination of cloth (gray) and imitation leather (red), giving the car a stylish character. The seats are not only in perfect condition but also surprisingly comfortable. The dashboard is also in exceptionally good condition. The various chrome and trim parts are in very good condition. A small storage compartment is accessible from the rear seat. Under the hood, we see a very neat and tidy engine compartment. It's clear that this car has received a great deal of love and care. We've rarely seen such a neat engine compartment. The 570cc four-cylinder engine runs exceptionally well and smoothly. Thanks to its low weight, the 16 hp is sufficient for a smooth and comfortable drive. The brakes feel good and firm, and the steering is exceptionally smooth. Shifting is also very easy and precise. All of this makes this compact classic Simca a wonderful driver's car.
