De Chevrolet Corvette is niet alleen een van de meest bekende klassieke sportwagens, het is zonder enige twijfel een legende. In 1953 werd de Corvette voor het eerst op de markt gebracht door de Amerikaanse autofabrikant General Motors onder het merk Chevrolet. Inmiddels zijn we acht generaties verder en heeft de Corvette een unieke plaats onder de sportwagens gekregen. En dat geldt dus ook voor deze schitterende derde generatie (C3 genaamd) Corvette uit 1982. Het gaat hier om de laatste C3 uitvoering en daarom is dit de zeer bijzondere Collector Edition, voorzien van te openen achterruit en een Crossfire brandstof injectiesysteem.

Deze speciale Collector Edition is in beperkte oplage geproduceerd en daarom nu extra interessant voor verzamelaars. De speciale striping in combinatie met de beige metallic lak geven de auto een extra unieke status. Ook de speciaal beige lederen bekleding hoort bij deze uitvoering. De originele speciale 15” lichtmetalen turbine velgen zijn in goede conditie en schitterend om te zien. Ook de diverse afdichtingen en sierdelen zijn in zeer goede conditie. De eenvoudig te (de)monteren dakpanelen zijn ook in zeer goede staat.

Ook het interieur is nog in bijzonder mooie en originele staat. De prachtig beige lederen stoelen zitten bijzonder comfortabel en zijn meervoudig elektrisch verstelbaar. De beige vloerbekleding is ook nog in bijzonder mooie conditie. Het prachtige dashboard is indrukwekkend om te zien en in goede conditie. De instrumenten werken naar behoren, zelfs de originele radio functioneert goed. Achter de stoelen is de bagageruimte ook in bijzonder nette staat en de afdek rolhoes functioneert goed.

Het is duidelijk te zien dat deze Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition zeer goed is onderhouden. Er zijn een paar recente onderhoudsfacturen aanwezig, waaruit is te zien dat deze auto bij een Corvette specialist in onderhoud is geweest. De indrukwekkende 5.7 liter V8 motor met brandstofinjectie levert 200 pk en klinkt als muziek in de oren. De motor loopt bijzonder mooi en soepel en de 4-traps automatische transmissie zorgt voor comfortabel en heerlijk redden. De auto stuurt bijzonder goed en ook de remmen werken stevig.
